So Still

03 Oct

This morning I was sitting in my living chair and noticed how still the lake was this morning. I decided to walk down to the lake and take a picture of the reflection of the fall colors on the lake. As I was standing focusing my camera this bird came into the photo. It circled and then landed on the lake. It was a beautiful way to begin the day.

This week promises to bring out of season temperatures here with 80-85 degree highs over the next few days. I’ll take the warm weather for sure. CNN reported this morning that somewhere in Pennsylvania received their first snow. I’m glad it was there and not here.

This is a stunning photo, the kind one frames and hangs on the wall to view over and over again. The bird in flight is a perfect touch!

Thank you Cecelia. It was a beautiful morning and today was more of the same. I loved how the bird circled down from above and landed on the lake in the quiet of the morning.

Thank you. Its fun when the stars align and something like a bird making an appearance for a photo happens.

Thank you Nancy. I find your shoreline sunsets very soothing and calming even on the most hectic days. Fond memories of Florida for sure.

And it’s a beautiful way to begin my day! This is stunning, Jeanne. I would frame and hang this one.

I may have to get an enlargement of this one and find somewhere to hang it or give as a gift.

Superb and what a nice way to start the day. No snow in this part of PA although it went down to 44 last night.

Glad the snow missed you David. I couldn’t believe when I saw the snow on CNN. I’m thankful it wasn’t here.

Great picture! I envy you–nothing like those warm fall Indian summer days.

I love Indian summer days and especially the fall colors. They are really starting to peak here.

Beautiful photo, Jeanne. Pennsylvania? Who knew they’d beat Minnesota to the punch on snow?!

Exactly what I thought when I heard about the snow.

I love jigsaw puzzles. That’s an excellent idea. I may have to investigate the possibilities.

I love seeing the trees reflected on the lake especially in the fall with the pretty colors. On Sunday we had our grandson out on the lake fishing and he leaned over the side and waved at his reflection and said “Hi!”

How nice that you live adjacent to a lake and can watch the seasons change there. The 80°–85° that you report is normal for this time of year here in central Texas, where we’re too far south to have widespread changing of the leaves the way you do up north. Our fall color is mostly on a smaller scale.
