This past week my husband and I spent the week driving home from Michigan. We were blessed to see most of the state adorned in beautiful fall colors. Part of our trip took us to Bond Falls, Michigan. It was tucked away in a beautiful hillside just waiting to be discovered. While we were there we were treated to sun showers off and on all afternoon as we explored.
We are home again and the colors are starting to peak where we live. I am home with a new love and appreciation for where we live.

Thanks Nancy. My favorite was the one of the tree with the red berries. I don’t know what kind of tree it was, maybe an ornamental crab tree.

Gorgeous! Our leaves are no where near that yet. That must have been a wonderful trip.

Our trees are just starting to turn where we live in central Minnesota. It seems once they start they fall so quickly and the colors are gone so soon.

The waterfall was an unplanned sidetrip well worth the extra time traveling off the beaten path. It was recommended to us by my sister-in-law. I haven’t had the chance to thank her yet.

It always does great things for my perspective when I get home from a few days away. Just a change of scenery and schedule.

I love the beautiful colors of fall that you’ve shared. Today was the first crisp day (after a very cool night) for us. Mid-week should see us back in the 70s. That’s one thing I like about our area, its unpredictability usually brings a nice upward swing from time to time.

I was listening to the weather on the radio driving home from our son’s home this evening and heard they are forecasting 80-85 for the next three days which is just about unheard of in October in Minnesota but I’ll take the warm weather as long as it lasts.

I think it will have to be an annual trip for us. It was short but well worth the time away.

Thanks! It was just the lone red leaf lying there on the gray sidewalk and I thought it looked beautiful like that! 🙂

Fall is definitely my favorite season, now that I live on the East Coast. In California, it was winter. Beautiful images, Jeanne.

Thanks for your encouraging words Linda. It’s been fun trying to capture each season in a new way since I got my camera.
