I love early mornings. Especially ones with no snow and the possibility of flying for a time. This morning I am headed off to the airport with hopes of hitting some clear blue skies to view life from a different perspective.
My husband and I will be mixing it up a little with business and pleasure. Some flying time, some errands and be assured some photo time as well.
A couple of things that I love about early mornings are the quiet and the beautiful color changes I can see as the sun is rising. This morning in a matter of just 15 minutes the sky has gone from blues to pinks as the sun is rising.

I love the early mornings too and this morning our sky is filled with pink and deep purple clouds – it’s beautiful, but also threatening us with rain and storms.
I’m praying for a safe and fun flight for you and Dean!

Thanks for the well wishes. I managed to get some patttern practice in this morning instead of taking our flight.
The forecast winds were more crosswind than I feel comfortable flying in and the ceilings were forecast to deteriorate with rain moving in.

The early mornings are my favorite in the spring and summer but not so much in the fall and winter when it is dark so late in the morning.
Thanks for the well wishes for our trip.

There is nothing more beautiful than seeing the sky come to life in the early morning hours illuminating the sky with a rainbow of colors or put to rest at the end of the day in peaceful quiet colors dancing across the sky.

Now you did it… As much as I hated flying all night, the sunrise made it almost worthwhile. Sunrise over the Atlantic, sunrise over the Pacific, sunrise over the Andes, sunrise over the Arctic. Now you did it…I’ll be daydreaming the rest of the day.

I would love to see a sunrise from the left seat but since I don’t own my own plane and where I rent from doesn’t open until after sunrise I’m afraid I’m not likely to see the sights you’ve seen.
I thought about renting a plane flying somewhere and staying overnight and getting an early start to see a sunrise. I have a family reunion in Montana that hope to fly to in June. It just maybe the opportunity I’m looking for.
Happy daydreaming Harrison!

My flying time was great this morning even if it was just at the airport. I love to hear the chatter of the other pilots and the tower when I am flying.
I was happy to know that I could still land the airplane after two months of no flying. It was the most difficult part for me to learn.

I love early mornings, too. Except for the fact that they’re so damn early. If not for that, they’d be perfect!

If we could only schedule them for about noon they would be absolutely perfect.

How interesting that you get to be a bird for awhile. Too bad about the flight not working out. But better safe than sorry.

I love flying but I always tend to be overly cautious when planning a flight. Too much at stake to take it lightly.
I do love the perspective I get from above. I tend to leave my worries on the ground. There just isn’t room in the cockpit for them. Too much to concentrate on when I am flying but oh so much to see.

Thanks Jane. There are days when I truly love where I live and see the above view out my livingroom window. We are blessed with a beautiful place to live and I tend to forget that until someone comes to visit who has never been to our home.
I love thinking of me taking to the air as well. My aim is to have more flying time soon if possible. My daughters will be done with college for the semester soon and I hope for a little more help at our business to free me up a bit for flying.
This summer I want to pursue my seaplane rating so I could land a plane on our lake. That would be so cool!
